Behavior Change Communication Strategy/HIV/AIDs awareness

Behavior change communication (BCC) is central in the implementation of our projects/programs. This is done through raising awareness amongst the targeted communities. Sikyomu Development Organization continues to use; Information Education Communication materials (IEC materials that are aligned to the ministry of Health), peer to peer education (These do one on one interventions and small group interventions) community dialogues (come up with topics that are affecting the community for example Sexual Gender Based Violence and sexual Reproductive Health through these group meetings) with so doing key opinions leaders and religious institutions/leaders are brought on board to discuss the issues affecting the communities on health are discussed and solutions to such problems are discussed and hence advocacy agendas are drawn and presented to the district officials and health departments.
